As Claims Manager (12-month Parental Leave Cover), you’ll step into a key role where your expertise directly shapes how we manage and respond to liability claims. You’ll have the opportunity to: Proactively identify potential issues before they become claims.Partner with senior stakeholders to influence decisions and reduce future risks.Lead the relationship with our third-party claims administrators, ensuring best practice and strong outcomes for the business.This is a high-impact role where you’ll gain exposure across the business, collaborate with senior leaders, and play a critical part in protecting and strengthening the reputation of one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading organisations. Your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Partner with each Living Centre and project team to manage and settle third-party liability claims, including setting strategies, liaising with stakeholders, and sharing lessons learned.Work with the wider business to review liability incidents and claims, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to reduce future risk.Ensure operational teams have the training and guidance to implement best practice incident and claims management processes, driving a reduction in incident frequency and claims quantum.Support the Insurance Manager across all aspects of the insurance renewal program — from pre-renewal preparation and formulation of questionnaires, through to issuing policy documents.Provide succession capability by advising on liability and indemnity aspects of contracts, as well as insurance considerations for shopping centre events, activities, and construction projects.Contribute to the Risk Management team by supporting the identification and delivery of new initiatives. What sets you apart Strong background in end-to-end liability claims management.Knowledge of insurance programs and renewals.Understanding of risk and incident management processes.Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience providing advice/training on claims management.Familiarity with liability and indemnity aspects of contracts.Analytical skills to identify trends and provide insights.
