About the Role: The Director, Financial Reporting, has a pivotal role in Strategic Finance, focusing on financial framework compliance, high-quality financial analysis and providing accounting advice to key stakeholders. The role requires a strong foundation in complex financial accounting, working with a range of stakeholders within challenging statutory timeframes to deliver key outputs and being a confident communicator in both oral and written form. You will be forward thinking with a strong focus on results and to identify/drive initiatives that aim to improve business processes. The role requires an understanding of financial operations within a complex government environment and a good working knowledge of financial information systems, such as Oracle and TM1. To be successful in this position requires relevant experience, very good technical accounting skills, excellent people skills, communication and organisational skills (oral, written, interpersonal and negotiation), attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement, aiming for best practice. About your Team: Strategic Finance is part of the Chief Finance Officer Division and provides high quality, timely and accurate financial advice and services to CHS focusing on compliance with legislation and financial framework requirements. The team operates in a high pace and dynamic environment and are responsible for financial and capital reporting, accounting operations, cash management and external budget and estimates development. Additionally, we also assist in driving the development, maintenance and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
