About the Role: Compass Group is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Defence Service Delivery Specialist to act as a key point of contact for Service Delivery across all Defence systems and IT requirements. This role combines BAU support with project delivery, ensuring technology solutions remain fit-for-purpose, aligned with operational processes, and delivering measurable business value. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT Solutions Managers, Defence teams, and the wider D&T organisation to optimise the use of technology, support hardware and IT requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the ongoing BAU operations for all managed systems, acting as an escalation point to maintain operational excellence and compliance. Support the Solutions portfolio for Defence, ensuring systems are aligned with business processes and fit-for-purpose. Collaborate with IT Solutions Managers and SMEs to identify opportunities for enhancements or process improvements. Support project delivery and enhancement of multiple systems and service lines, including ServiceNow, ensuring Defence contract requirements are met. Monitor and analyse adoption, user satisfaction, and utilisation, proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies. Partner with vendors, SMEs, and IT teams to optimise solution delivery and performance. Support training, change management, and user adoption initiatives to maximise utilisation of existing solutions. Build strong engagement with business leaders and service line owners to ensure systems meet evolving operational needs. Skills & Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in IT, with 1-2 years in delivering a range of products/projects. Well-developed communication, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Technical aptitude combined with commercial and product management awareness. Familiarity with project management and product development lifecycles. Experience building and maintaining relationships to drive product development and growth. Product Management certification (e.g., AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute). (desirable) Strong business analysis, problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Team player with strong interpersonal, presentation, and customer-centric skills. Experience working with service provider teams in mixed environments. Understanding of digital trends and ability to evaluate applicability for business solutions.
