We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse with cardiac care experience to join our Community Health team as a Cardiac Educator. This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in remote Aboriginal communities while enjoying an adventurous lifestyle in one of Australia’s most spectacular regions. Based in Katherine, you’ll provide a visiting service across our remote clinics, delivering education and support to patients, families, and communities. Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality cardiac care and education • Facilitate group health promotion and education sessions • Support and mentor other health professionals • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program reporting • Travel regularly to remote sites via company vehicle or charter flight What you need to be successful? • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing with current AHPRA registration • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cardiac care • Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural perspectives in health care • NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card (or willingness to obtain) • Current First Aid certification and vaccinations • Unrestricted driver’s licence (manual preferred) Desirable: Remote area nursing experience, group facilitation skills, or a background in Aboriginal health settings. What's it like living the Big Rivers Region? The Big Rivers region (a 3 hour drive from Darwin) begins south of Kakadu National Park encompassing Pine Creek, then extends over 500km south to Kalkaringi and stretches across the width of the Territory between the Western Australia and Queensland borders. The region is significant in scale, covering over 360,000 square kilometres and accounting for an area greater than that covered by Germany. The region consists of a number of varied natural environments including vast rivers, tropical forests, rocky escarpments and savannah plains.
