About the role Penrith Women’s Health Centre (PWHC) is looking to recruit an experienced AHPRA endorsed Nurse Practitioner whose scope of practice includes, primary care, mental health and women's health to work with us from our beautiful centre in the heart of Penrith. Our services focus on empowering and strengthening women’s overall health and wellbeing. Our health practitioners practice is evidence based and focuses on improving our client's health literacy, whilst offering support to allow clients to make informed healthcare choices. Our health services focus on providing chronic disease prevention, improved mental health and wellbeing and women's health and reproductive care through the lifespan. All women are welcome in our centre, our services are provided through an inclusive, client-centred, trauma-informed, culturally appropriate model of care. The Nurse Practitioner will provide services through an appointment-based fee for service system at Penrith Women's Health Centre or attend outreach/ community activity events where appropriate. There is an expectation that as demand for services grows, increased hours may be available (Monday to Friday). Renumeration negotiable for the right candidate. The role is funded to 30 June 2026, with an expectation of extension subject to ongoing funding. The successful applicant will initially work part time, up to 16 hours per week, with days and hours negotiable. Hours of operation at our centre are 8.30-5pm. PWHC is a Women's Health Centre, run by women for women. We have been supporting women in the Penrith community since 1987. The site has easy access to all-day parking, shopping and public transport.
