Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles to ensure they are in top working condition. You will work closely with our team of mechanics and technicians to provide efficient and effective services to our customers. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs - Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections - Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes - Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to ensure proper functioning - Using diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair issues - Keeping detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed - Communicating with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations Requirements: - Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent - Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Motor Mechanic - Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment - Knowledge of automotive systems and components - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Valid driver's license Contract Details: This is a full-time position with a salary range of $75K to $82K plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications.
