With a busy workshop located in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs, they’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with experience in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to join their dynamic team. About the Role Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager , you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks across the truck body build process, including: Auto Electrics: Installing electrical harnesses, lights, plugs, and sockets on new semi-trailers Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Fitting and testing new systems, including braking systems Diagnostics & Repairs: Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues Assembly: Fitting lights and electrical components to new truck builds Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or related field Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic brake systems Knowledge of automotive electrical systems High attention to detail and commitment to OHS best practices Ability to follow procedures and contribute to a high-performing team Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants must: Be based in Melbourne, Victoria Have full working rights in Australia Provide two professional references from recent employers Candidates with experience in the Automotive, Industrial, or Agricultural Equipment sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.
