Due to an increase in demand for their services they wish to hire an IT Support & Help Desk technician to join their technical support team. Comprehensive training will be provided. About the role Working within the helpdesk support team, you will be the first point of contact for clients calling with questions and technical support issues. Via a ticket system, your job will be to identify technical issues, troubleshoot and resolve problems over the phone, as well as escalate where needed. You will be based within the office and for the more experienced technicians it is envisioned after 6 - 12 month’s on the Help Desk, you will progress to being an on-site technician and provided with a fully expensed Company vehicle. Responsibilities Responding to requests for IT support efficiently and effectively via a ticketing system MS Outlook troubleshooting Basic network diagnosis and troubleshooting Printer and other Peripherals - installation, administration and troubleshooting Microsoft AD account creation and user account administration Microsoft Exchange Server account creation and user mailbox administration PC hardware administration and troubleshooting Troubleshooting system issues relating to both Hardware and Software Maintaining high levels of customer service at all times Requirements Previous experience in a Phone Based Level 1-2 IT Support Role Knowledge of Microsoft 365 support, deployment, and admin Experience in ticketing systems (ConnectWise) is ideal Computer hardware knowledge and excellent documentation skills Knowledge of current Microsoft Desktop, Server and Office platforms is a must A current Australian driver’s license Excellent communication and time management skills Who are we looking for? To be successful in this role, there are no specific IT qualifications necessary. The emphasis will be on the practical “hands on” work experience and knowledge you possess, ideally working in a similar role – which is providing a variety of diverse IT Helpdesk support services to SME’s – we do not service large, corporate enterprise clients! We are seeking individuals who have a genuine interest in IT and who have excellent customer service and communication skills. On offer is a competitive salary of $45K - $55K super with quarterly performance and salary reviews. Progression to becoming an on-site IT Service Technician is available within 6 -12 month’s based on meeting certain KPI’s.
