We are seeking multiple highly skilled Data Centre Systems Engineers with NV 1 or NV2 security clearance to join our delivery team supporting secure infrastructure environments across government and enterprise custome rs. To be successful you will require deep hands-on technical expertise across Windows /Linux systems, VMware, networking, firewalls, and automation technologies . These position s are on -site only ( Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne) due to the sensitive nature of the work. Key Responsibilities · Manage and support Windows and Linux server infrastructure within secure environments. · Operate and administer VMware virtualisation platforms in large-scale data centre environments. · Configure and maintain network routing, switching, and load balancing solutions. · Implement, operate, and maintain firewall platforms and related network security devices. · Support automation initiatives using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) , GitHub, and ServiceNow integration. · Where applicable, provide expertise in Algosec for firewall policy analysis and optimisation. · Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security, performance, and availability requirements. · Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across infrastructure and security domains. · Document designs, configurations, and operational processes to support knowledge transfer and audit requirements. Requirements · NV1 or NV2 clearance (mandatory – no exceptions). · 5 years’ experience in data centre systems administration and infrastructure engineering. · Strong expertise with: o Operating Systems – Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). o Virtualisation – VMware ESXi, vSphere. o Networking – routing, switching, load balancing (Cisco/Juniper/F5/others). o Firewalls – configuration and administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, CheckPoint). · Experience with automation and integration tools: Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), GitHub, ServiceNow. · Familiarity with Algosec (highly desirable, though rare skill). · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments. · Excellent communication and documentation skills. Desirable Skills · Experience in secure government or defence environments. · Exposure to hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). · Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISM, Essential Eight, ISO 27001). · Vendor certifications (VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, or firewall/security vendors). Additional Information · On-site presence is mandatory due to clearance and environment restrictions (ACT, Sydney, Melbourne). · No remote or hybrid work options are available. · Occasional on-call support and after-hours work may be required.
