THE ROLE An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join a dynamic project team delivering grid-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This Melbourne-based position plays a key role in supporting project success by effectively administering contracts from tender through to project completion. You'll be responsible for managing subcontractor and supplier engagements, overseeing key commercial processes, and ensuring all contractual requirements are met throughout the construction lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and lead the tender process, including supplier pre-qualification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract preparation Administer and manage all contractual documentation, including head contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders Provide ongoing commercial and contractual advice to the project team, ensuring clarity and compliance at each stage Identify potential risks and opportunities, taking proactive steps to mitigate or manage exposure Support the resolution of claims and disputes, working collaboratively to achieve fair and timely outcomes Oversee billing, invoicing, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines Manage a diverse range of agreements such as EPC, O&M, D&C, consultancy, supply, and hire contracts ABOUT YOU A tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years' experience in contract administration within the construction, energy or infrastructure sector, with prior Solar or BESS experience being highly regarded Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex contracts and commercial relationships Sound understanding of contract law, risk management, and project financials Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple project stakeholders Experience preparing and managing Extension of Time and Cost claims WHY JOIN?
