This Commercial Loans Officer role will involve supporting the Chief Lending Officer and Senior Legal Counsel on end to end mortgage files, as well as working closely with the Senior Commercial Loans and Securities Officer to review securities documentation. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of first registered mortgage files, dealing primarily with borrowers, as well as: Set up new loan facilities, including conducting relevant searches, entering information into the administration system, and sourcing quotes from experts; Review valuation reports and input relevant data into the system; Prepare Supplementary Product Disclosure Statements, Disbursement Authorities, Loan Settlement Accounts, cheque requests, and tax invoices; Lodge documents for registration, collate deed packets, prepare mortgage summaries, and mail documents to borrowers; Prepare documentation for loan variations and extensions; Manage subdivision consents—provide consent, liaise with valuers, and update system details; Handle discharges—liaise with borrowers/legal representatives, prepare payout figures, instruct conveyancers, receipt funds, and manage system updates; Maintain renewals of key documents, loan transaction statements, and reconcile trust accounts; AND Respond to borrower enquiries via phone and email. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit, settlement or commercial lending; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to effectively liaise with third parties including borrowers, guarantors, quantity surveyors, engineers, valuers and third party legal agents; Ability to understand and adhere to compliance protocols and internal policies to ensure all client interactions and transactions are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements; Experience with loan management systems and tools (e.g. PEXA, MYOB, Excel); A proactive mindset; High attention to detail; AND Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
