About the role: Join a collaborative and supportive team at Bairnsdale Power Station, where culture and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. As an Operations & Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our power generation assets. You’ll work closely with a small, multi-skilled crew that values open communication, mutual respect, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. What you’ll do: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, small installations, and support operations during outages to keep the power station operating safely and reliably. Operate and maintain equipment according to the Annual Work Plan and assigned work orders. Investigate and report equipment incidents, troubleshoot problems, and implement action plans. Accurately record maintenance data for analysis, audit, and compliance. Monitor dashboards, manage your workload, and provide monthly reports on work order status. What you’ll bring: Electrical trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent) and a current driver’s licence. Experience with plant operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Instrumentation and high voltage (HV) switching experience. Able to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedures. Strong team player with good communication skills and a focus on safety and improvement. What’s in it for you?
