About the role We are seeking a highly experienced, advanced practice Registered Nurse who is looking to undergo the necessary clinical and academic training to become an endorsed Nurse Practitioner. As a Nurse Practitioner Candidate, you are committed to developing the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills, and clinical competencies required for expanded practice.” Your existing experience in clinical leadership, mentorship and staff support will provide a foundation to act as a senior member of the clinical team, supporting ongoing education to staff, residents and families. This role will strengthen Tallangatta Health Service’s capacity to deliver integrated care across health and aged care, particularly supporting older community members to access care close to home. About you You are passionate about health care in a rural setting, motivated to enhance the wellbeing of others and committed to professional development. You will also meet the following criteria; Registered as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Upon commencement of the position be able to demonstrate acceptance into an NMBA approved Master’s program of study leading to Nurse Practitioner endorsement, or commitment to enrol Australian citizen or permanent resident Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to continuous improvement. Successful candidates will be expected to commit to working as a Nurse Practitioner within the Victorian public health system for a minimum of two years following endorsement.
