About the Role As a Cafe Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. Responsibilities include: Training team members in store processes and procedures. Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards. Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations. Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees. This is a casual position with the requirement for flexibility to work from 6am to 6pm. About You The ideal candidate for this position will have the following: 2 years' experience in a food outlet. Supervisory experience in a cafe setting. Great communication skills. Barista experience. Ability to lead and run a shift. Understanding of till reconciliation and cash handling. Exceptional time management skills and reliability. Flexible availability with the ability to start early and open or finish late and close. You will be a natural leader with excellent soft skills and be able to inspire and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards.
