Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) is an open cut mining operation which utilises truck and excavator mining methods to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal, which is predominantly exported for domestic power generation and use in steel production. We are located within the Hunter Coalfields at Hebden in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. An opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic Maintenance Planning Superintendent at MGO. Working a Monday to Friday, dayshift roster, and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a key leadership position and is accountable for overseeing the Maintenance Planning activities and team at MGO. The Maintenance Planning Superintendent works closely with the Production and Technical Services teams including other key departments across the business to achieve equipment performance targets and maintain an efficient safe work environment. Your ability to drive for results, effectively communicate and manage a team is core to the role. This position requires multitasking and the following of all policies and procedures implemented and maintained in accordance with the Glencore Management Framework. The requirements for success in this role include: Maintenance Superintendent or higher-level experience. Maintenance Planning, Maintenance and or Asset Management experience. Open Cut Coal Mining experience. Relevant Engineering, Trade or Asset Management qualifications. Extensive experience in mining management maintenance systems, policies, and procedures. Strong technical and commercial understanding in the coal industry. Contract Management experience. Solid communication skills. Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and an extensive knowledge of SAP.
