About the Role We’re looking for an organised, reliable, and enthusiastic Trade Assistant/Storeperson to join our team in Bankstown! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that stock is well-managed, documented, and ready for use. You’ll enjoy a mix of hands-on store duties and administrative tasks, making this a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience and grow your skills. Your Key Responsibilities: Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the store. Receive, unload, and shelve stock efficiently. Arrange stock safely and in accessible locations. Perform stock-related duties including checking, locating, despatching, and delivering to other depots. Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report to the Workshop Manager or accounts team. Ensure accurate record keeping to maintain inventory control. Perform administrative tasks, including basic data entry, reporting, and computer tasks. Safely move tools, materials, and equipment within the workshop. What We’re Looking For: Knowledge of computer-based inventory management systems. Familiarity with stores/warehouse best practices. Analytical mindset with strong numeracy skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Attention to detail and strong time management. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other common equipment. Valid driver’s license; willingness to acquire and maintain forklift certification. Physical ability to lift and carry materials (up to 16kg regularly, up to 25kg occasionally). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and TIMS support . What We Offer: Level 2 remuneration. Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Hands-on experience in both mechanical and administrative operations. A supportive team environment and opportunity to grow your skills.
