As part of this strategic expansion, we’ve made the decision to self-perform our NDD (Non-Destructive Digging) works and are now seeking hard-working, diligent, and ambitious Vac Truck Operator to join our Utilities Team. We foster a flat structure where everyone has a voice and is respected. Your Role Operate hydro vacuum excavation trucks for non-destructive digging. Safely expose underground utilities (water, gas, electrical, communications). Interpret BYDA plans and assist survey teams with accurate data capture. Perform daily pre-starts , routine equipment maintenance, and complete site documentation. Work collaboratively with field crews to deliver quality and safety on every job. Follow all safety, environmental, and site-specific protocols . What You’ll Bring Proven experience operating NDD/vacuum excavation equipment – VTI Trucks preferred. Current HR driver’s license (essential). White Card (essential). Strong understanding of underground utilities and BYDA procedures . Experience with reinstatement works and general civil construction. VOC to operate excavators ( desirable but not essential ). Experience with drain cleaning and jetting ( desirable but not essential ). Confined space entry and First Aid/CPR tickets ( desirable but not essential ). Experience supporting survey or utility locating teams is a bonus . A safety-first mindset and the ability to thrive in dynamic field environments.
