Working alongside qualified and skilled pet groomers and handlers, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring, and support throughout this government-registered traineeship. While receiving consistent on-the-job training, you’ll also study a Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Under the supervision of senior groomers, you’ll develop skills in: Bathing, drying, and brushing techniques Health assessments Dog handling, walking, and restraint techniques Cleaning dog ears Clipping and sanding nails Styling and clipping dog hair Equipment sterilisation and maintenance Cleaning and hygiene routines Customer service including bookings, reception, and record keeping Social media content – photos, videos, editing, and posting Work Days and Schedule: Regular work days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays Permanent Part-Time - 22.5 hours per week One paid study day per month (day varies depending on appointments) Closed for two weeks over Christmas – annual leave to be taken during this period If you love dogs and keen to begin your dog grooming career, please apply now!
