They are now seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their team in Bowen Hills. About the Role & Responsibilities As the Practice Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the medical centre, ensuring smooth clinic workflow, exceptional patient care, and compliance with healthcare standards. Your responsibilities will span operational management, finance, HR, patient experience, and digital health systems. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Ensuring AGPAL accreditation and RACGP compliance, including infection control, risk management, and clinical operations Managing financial processes such as budgeting, payroll, invoicing, and Medicare/DVA claims, in collaboration with external providers Leading HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance reviews, while maintaining a positive, compliant workplace culture Overseeing patient feedback and privacy protocols, driving quality improvement initiatives, audits, and chronic disease management support Managing practice software (Best Practice), telehealth services, and coordinating IT support to maintain efficient digital health systems Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in Medical Practice Management, ideally within an AGPAL-accredited general practice Formal qualifications in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Practice Management (e.g., Diploma of Practice Management) (desirable) Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare setting Proficiency in practice management systems (Best Practice, Cubiko, HotDoc, AutoMed) and other digital health tools Strong understanding of RACGP Standards, MBS, and healthcare compliance Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting Experience developing and implementing policies, governance frameworks, and strategic plans Knowledge of Veteran Health services and experience supporting Veteran patients (desirable) Familiarity with funding programs such as PIP, WIP, and chronic disease models (desirable) Understanding of workplace health and safety and infection control best practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Full working rights in Australia Benefits Competitive Compensation : Enjoy a competitive salary of $110k to $120k plus super Supportive Leadership : Work alongside an experienced and accessible leadership team, including the Chief Operating Officer, Operations Coordinator, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Practice Manager Modern Facility : Work in a state-of-the-art facility with natural light, staff break rooms, and discounted meals at the onsite café, and more Professional Development : Access ongoing training and career growth opportunities.
