As Director, IT Strategy & Architecture, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping shape nib’s technology vision and ensuring it delivers value across our diverse business, including health, life and travel insurance, and NDIS operations. Working closely with the Group CIO and Technology Leadership team, as well as senior business leaders, you’ll set the direction for a modern, secure and scalable technology landscape that enables innovation, operational excellence and exceptional member experience What you’ll do: Work inward and outward of the technology teams, to define nib’s long-term IT Strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business growth and transformation goals Lead the development of pragmatic enterprise architecture principles, frameworks and standards that support a cloud-first, data driven digital ecosystem Partner with executive and business leaders to embed technology-driven decision making and strengthen IT-business alignment Support the synthesising of various technology plans and execution methods into a cohesive narrative that is both understood and measurable Drive technology governance and simplification; reducing complexity, optimising investment, and ensuring interoperability across systems Champion cybersecurity and IT risk management, ensuring resilience, compliance and trust Inspire a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement within a high-performing IT team About you You’re a strategic thinker, influential leader and passionate technologist who thrives in complexity. You bring: 10 years’ experience leading technology strategy, architecture or enterprise transformation functions Proven success driving digital modernisation in large, complex or regulated environments Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills; able to engage from the boardroom to the technical floor Deep understanding of enterprise applications, cloud adoption and technologies such as AI Courage to challenge the status quo and inspire others to think differently Demonstrate a strong “we over me’ mindset, fostering collaboration and alignment with existing architecture capabilities across delivery teams when shaping the future We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement.
