Your new role: As a valued member of the Way Forward Team, you'll provide culturally responsive social work and mental health care within Addiction Services. You'll help make a meaningful impact by: Delivering intake, assessment, counselling and case management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients within a multidisciplinary team. Providing culturally grounded therapeutic and family interventions to support recovery and wellbeing. Collaborating closely with Murri Courts to provide Mental Health and Addiction assessments and reports. Building strong partnerships with community organisations to ensure continuity of care and culturally safe service delivery. Actively contributing to service improvement, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice development. Supporting cultural capability and leadership within Addiction and Mental Health services. This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. You'll bring your strengths to the team with: Proven ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based social work or mental health services within a multidisciplinary setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling respectful and effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues. Sound knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural frameworks and community engagement practices. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads, manage complex cases, and maintain professionalism in dynamic environments. A commitment to continuous learning, service improvement, and supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Relevant qualifications in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Mental Health, or Alcohol and Other Drugs, or a willingness to obtain these with support.
