As the Manager, State Budget you will manage the development and implementation of strategic policy projects, primarily the development of Queensland Health's annual Budget submission and Budget papers. You will manage and undertake analysis and provide advice on policy issues in areas such as health expenditure, funding and health service performance; and identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness. About you We are searching for someone with: Public policy analysis and general critical thinking skills. Effective project/program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes and lead a small team. Flexible and agile professional approach, including ability to work autonomously and show initiative. Well-developed interpersonal skills needed to build productive professional relationships and networks as well as manage a wide variety of stakeholders. Ability to work flexibly across teams in policy analysis, and in responding to changing priorities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise way. Knowledge of the Queensland and Australian health system or ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge. Prior experience with public sector policy and budget cycles such as the development of Cabinet or CBRC submissions. Why work with us?
