We are actively looking for a Principal Port Planner with a specialisation in container terminals, general cargo/break-bulk terminals, multi-purpose terminals and offshore wind terminals in the Oceania Region. The Principal Port Planner will be part of a team in the business development, planning, analysis, and design of ports and terminals. The right candidate will help build business around their own area of maritime expertise, have their own contacts in the regional market, and be a part of the international leadership team that drives this service line for Moffatt & Nichol. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce or Planning; required 15 years of strategic planning, design, operation and/or management of ports, terminals and waterfront developments; required Proven business development track record with client management skills Experience managing projects listed above and developing business with clients; required Ability to mentor and train others Participation in industry associations and professional groups. Permanent residency or citizenship in Australia Professional engineering registration preferred Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Availability and willingness to travel Bi-lingual / multi-lingual desired All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Working conditions: Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting.
