About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person centred active support to individuals living with disability. This role primarily involves Supported Independent Living (SIL), which includes assisting people with disability in either shared accommodation or their own homes. Support may include personal care, help with daily living tasks, and promoting independence. You will be working across a 24/7 roster, including weekdays and weekends. Key Responsibilities Support a male and female client in their daily living tasks Assist with personal care tasks (e.g. bathing, dressing) and manual handling Availability for short-notice shifts and sleepovers is essential Implement person-centred active support and follow behaviour support plans Support clients during mealtime routines to promote independence and safety Log daily care and changes in needs to ensure informed, coordinated support Skills & Experience Cert III Individual Support or similar Experience working with people with complex needs and behaviours Resilience and confidence in managing complex situations and behaviours An unrestricted Western Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
