We are looking for a highly skilled Auto Electricians and Motor Mechanics with Land Rover and European vehicles experience for our client in Geraldton, WA. These are full time positions with an immediate start. As a specialist regional town motor mechanic you must be able to attend to the following independently: General servicing, fault finding, diagnosis, warranty repairs, recalls, service actions Repairs & Overhauls to Land Rover & other automotive vehicles: Examines vehicle & discusses with service manager. Answering technical questions & offering advice to customers Plans work procedure, using charts, technical manuals, & experience Raises vehicle using hydraulic jack or hoist to gain access to mechanical units bolted to the underside of the vehicle Removes unit & inspects parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers & thickness gauges Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves & bearings using specialist hand tools Rebuild parts such as crankshafts, cylinder blocks, using lathes, shapers, drill presses & welding equipment Diagnostic tracing of fault codes and repair of traced fault Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems Servicing of electrical automotive parts Dismantling of engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other component for rebuilding or repair. Testing of vehicle under driving conditions after repairs have been completed The successful applicants must have: Hold a current relevant industry Motor Mechanic/Auto Electrician Trade Certificate or equivalent At least 1 year of relevant employment experience Knowledge and experience in servicing and maintenance of Japanese/European made vehicles as well as other vehicles (Including 4WDs) Good diagnostic skills on specific brands Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure Good organisational skills Ability to work as part of a team Manufacturer training and experience is essential The applicant must be competent in working with Land Rover vehicles and must have dealer training.
