Role Overview As a detailed orientated and experienced Assistant Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to a client base consisting of mostly family office groups. Prepare draft management accounts and financial reporting packs Manage, forecast, and report on cash flow Perform account reconciliations across multiple entities, including trusts, companies, and SMSFs Prepare and review ATO compliance obligations such as BAS, IAS, and PAYG Liaise with external accountants for year-end financials, tax lodgments, and compliance matters Respond to ad hoc client reporting requests and information needs Skills & Experience Possess relevant industry qualifications and bring solid professional experience; Demonstrate a proactive, personable approach to stakeholder engagement and client service; Be motivated to find smarter, more efficient ways of working, with a keen interest in leveraging technology; Maintain strong attention to detail while keeping a strategic, big-picture mindset; Manage your time effectively and understand the importance of meeting deadlines or communicating proactively if delays arise; Work well independently, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member; Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; Above all, handle confidential client information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
