We're seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading insurance business. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and regional teams while enjoying a flexible hybrid work model. Due to the upcoming changes in the team's structure this role would offer a clear pathway to becoming a Finance Manager in the near future Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and quarter-end close , including consolidation and financial reporting. Prepare and review statutory financial statements under AASB and IFRS . Ensure timely and accurate submission of APRA and ASIC regulatory reports . Oversee GL reconciliations, tax reporting, and annual audit processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide insights to non-financial stakeholders. Drive process improvements and assist with strategic projects. About you CA/CPA qualified with 5-8 years' experience in statutory accounting and taxation. Strong knowledge of APRA reporting requirements and regulatory compliance. Experience in insurance or financial services preferred; Big 4 background a plus.
