Your new role: As a Senior Speech Pathologist at QEII Jubilee Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services to adult patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. This is a dynamic, patient-centred position where you will contribute to both the clinical care of patients and the development of services within a multidisciplinary team. Provide evidence-based Speech Pathology services, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients with complex swallowing and communication needs. Lead and mentor less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) in both clinical practice and professional development. This opportunity covers two positions - Acute Stroke and Geriatric (full day shifts on Thursday and Friday) plus Weekend (four hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday). About you: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Speech Pathologist who demonstrates strong clinical judgement. You will have: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership to Speech Pathology Australia. Proven experience in managing complex swallowing and communication disorders, with a demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with patients, carers, and a range of healthcare professionals. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including supervising and supporting less experienced staff and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
