About the Company My client delivers specialist, physical hardware products and innovative electronics technology to global customers. This is a successful Australian company, with new design headquarters in a great central Sydney location. The Role In this Manufacturing Engineer role, you’ll be responsible for the design and development of manufacturing test systems and rigs for company products. These rigs will be used for product testing on the production floor and by contract manufacturers around the world. Reporting to and working closely with the Production Automation Lead you will: Develop production test rigs which increase production speed, accuracy and test coverage Work closely with other teams to understand product testing requirements and interfaces Develop system requirements and tests to validate those requirements Manage project plans and timelines to keep development on track Document designs to ensure test rigs can be scaled and maintained Communicate with test equipment vendors to obtain quotes, support and technical information Occasional travel interstate and overseas may be required Skills and experience Degree in Software Development, Engineering or relevant experience required Experience developing manufacturing systems and rigs preferred Experienced in Python required Experience unit testing and use of CI/CD pipelines required Experience with VISA communications to instrumentation required SolidWorks experience favourable (to develop rigs that interact with devices under test physically as well as digitally) Understanding of RF and experience with RF test equipment favourable N.B.
