About the Role We are seeking a talented and self-driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a part-time, project-based basis. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, problem solving, and seeing R&D concepts evolve from scope to delivery. You are a good communicator with detailed work and enjoy working under your own supervision. Key Responsibilities Scope out and plan R&D tasks with defined deliverables and milestones. Design and develop components using Fusion 360 or equivalent CAD software. Prepare detailed parts lists, source suppliers, and place orders with manufacturers. Contribute to a range of small and large-scale R&D projects across multiple disciplines. Work independently from home, delivering outcomes on agreed timelines. About You Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong capability in CAD design (Fusion 360 or similar). Practical knowledge of R&D project lifecycles – from concept to prototype. Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to deliver without supervision.
