Bird in Hand, a globally celebrated winery known for its premium wines, breathtaking experiences, and bold artistic vision, is looking for a talented PR & Brand Executive to join our team. About the Role Working closely with our Brand Director, you’ll be the driving force behind our brand storytelling. You’ll balance hands-on content creation, media relations, and event coordination, ensuring Bird in Hand’s voice is consistent, and unforgettable across every channel and touchpoint. Whether you're writing a press release, managing an activation, hosting media at our estate, or supporting high-profile brand events, you’ll thrive in a dynamic, premium-focused environment where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities Develop and distribute high-quality media releases, brand copy, and digital content. Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, tourism bodies, and partners. Manage communications with PR agencies and ensure brand alignment across all outputs. Create and manage content for digital platforms. Coordinate and deliver private and public events in SA and Tasmania—from concept to execution. Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing collateral and merchandise. Support sponsorship activations and ensure brand consistency in all promotional efforts. Required Experience & Skills 3 years of experience in public relations, brand communications, or a similar role—ideally within the wine, luxury, lifestyle, or tourism industries. Proven ability to pitch and secure media coverage across traditional and digital channels. Strong portfolio showcasing written work, brand storytelling, and content creation. Experience planning and executing events of varying scales. Proficiency in digital content tools Solid understanding of social media platforms and content strategy. Familiarity with working with creative agencies, photographers, and designers. A network of media, influencer, and industry contacts is highly desirable. What We’re Looking For PR and media relations pro with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. Digitally fluent in content creation for web, social, and email. Event coordination wizard—meticulous, cool under pressure, and guest-focused. Ability to juggle multiple projects with precision and creativity. Strong visual sensibility; familiarity with design tools. Passion for wine and premium experiences—experience in wine marketing highly regarded. You’ll Need To: Be based in Woodside, SA and happy to travel to Tasmania for key brand events and activations. Thrive working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
