About the Opportunity Council is seeking to appoint a self motivated and suitably experienced candidate to the position of Public Facilities Attendant within the Infrastructure & Operations section of Council. This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all Council owned public facilities within Cowra and our surrounding villages to ensure standards are met and amenities are kept neat, clean and tidy. Specific duties will include; Clean and maintain Council's public toilet and amenities facilities to a high standard: General Handyman Duties and operational maintenance of Council's public facilities Clean floors, walls, bowls, hand basins, mirrors, taps and door handles Replace consumables – e.g. toilet paper, hand towel & soap Waste collection and disposal General maintenance around amenities building and street areas including weeding, watering & mulching Applicants must have a current drivers licence with the ability to work overtime as required to meet the operational needs of Council amenities. The positions of Public Facilities Attendants are responsible for opening and closing the public amenities in Cowra on sunrise and sunset, which will require the successful applicant to carry out overtime work of an evening to close the amenities. This position will be required to carry out these duties every second week, which includes the weekend and fill in for other staff when on leave. A vehicle is provided to travel to all public amenities and overtime penalty rates apply for these hours of work. The successful applicant will have a positive, can do work attitude with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
