About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Accountant to join our finance team at TMGM. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role within our accounting & finance team, responsible for taxation compliance and corporate governance for the TMGM Group. This position offers an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented accountants with at least 3 years of experience to expand their skills and help drive the growth of the group. Key Responsibilities Taxation Compliance: Facilitate the lodgement of activity statements, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax and income tax returnsProvide insights on Australian and international taxation mattersMonitor the timely lodgement of returns and settlement of taxesHelp address enquiries from the tax office from time to time Corporate Governance: Oversee the group's corporate governance obligations, including maintaining statutory records, preparing governance-related documents for entities in Australia and overseasEnsure timely and accurate filings, and internally document all organisational changesAdvise the Board and Committees on good corporate governance practicesFacilitate due diligence in mergers and acquisitions Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with the team to ensure tasks are prioritised and resolvedWork closely with external advisors to ensure compliance Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of taxation and/or corporate governance experience with a Big 4 / mid-tier professional services firm in Australia is preferred; equivalent experience with regulatory bodies would also be consideredA well-rounded understanding of tax obligations and/or corporate governanceExperience in international taxation (including Singapore and Malaysia) would be a plusCPA/CA qualified, registration as a tax agent, and membership with the Governance Institute of Australia, will be highly regardedProficiency in Microsoft Office suite required; familiarity with CAS 360, DocuSign and Xero is desiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills; Mandarin fluency is appreciatedStrong attention to detail with the ability to multi-taskIndustry knowledge in AFSL, financial services, trading platforms, or fund management is a plusProactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environmentAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Benefits Celebrate your tenure with us!
