Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Accountant to join their team. In this role, you’ll support the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations of the firm. The role is offered on a full-time basis with work from home options once the candidate is established. This hand on role is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, proven AR/AP experience, high proficiency in Xero . The successful candidate will be tenacious with follow-up, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and capable of building effective relationships with both internal staff and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Maintain up-to-date finance documentation and procedures. Contribute to improvements in finance systems, accuracy, and automation. Reconcile debtor receipts daily and assist with the follow-up of overdue debtors. Oversee accounts payable and prepare payment runs in accordance with due dates and agreed schedules. Perform balance sheet and other account reconciliations . Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports for management, providing timely and relevant information to support the business. Assist the CFO and Managing Director with budgeting processes and financial forecasting. Undertake continuous improvement in the efficiency of operational and administrative systems, including documentation and maintenance of financial and project records. Maintain and enhance internal relationships by providing high-quality services. Requirements 2 years' experience working in similar role within the Australian workplace Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance , or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). CA/CPA membership (Equivalent or working towards it) Practical experience in an accounting role, including end-to-end financial processes, month-end reporting, and proven knowledge of accounting principles and practices. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with other departments. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise conflicting demands and deadlines. Knowledge of GST, BAS, and financial compliance requirements is beneficial.
