Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Blacktown, NSW, Australia Discover Impactful Work: The role is for a qualified Industrial Hygienist (IH) to undertake our industrial hygiene monitoring at our facilities. This role requires involvement in the IH planning process with Corporate, the APAC team and key local stakeholders. Additionally, this role will cover methodologies for sampling, data analysis, validation, reporting and communication are to be implemented. The role also incorporates the implementation of our Occupational Medicine programs, such as silica, formaldehyde, PIV operation etc. A day in the Life: Lead annual IH planning meetings as well as regular IH Asia and Corporate meetings. Conduct IH monitoring in accordance with plan and ensure legal and compliance. Respiratory protection program implementation including fit testing and training in accordance with site plans. Assist operations as required with the management of respirators (and accessories) for staff and visitors. Monitoring to annual Plans including: Noise sampling Chemical exposure sampling Samples must be sent to approved laboratories Identify individuals requiring medical surveillance Following corporate and legal guidelines, implement medical surveillance programs including review of results. Coordinate vendors through the vendor management process. Retain records according to confidentiality requirements. Flu vaccination program implementation is included within Occupational Medicine activities. Work with other key site stakeholders to develop and implement the Ventilation Program. Communicate any ventilation risks. Communicate with site management, EHS team and third parties regarding IH and Occ Medicine plans and results Communicate with affected workers regarding monitoring results Attend regular IH Asia and Corporate meetings. Where possible, attend regular Occupational Medicine meetings Keys to Success: Education Minimum 3yrs experience in an Industrial Hygienist role Desirable Experience Degree with either certificate, diploma or postgraduate qualifications in Industrial Hygiene Qualifications suitable for obtaining full membership to a professional body eg AIOH, SIA Knowledgeable of legislative requirements relating to EHS and chemicals Experience with ventilation for contaminant control Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to facilitate change Excellent verbal and written communications with attention to detail Strong ability to influence others.
