The role of an Evolve College Trainer and Assessor is to enhance the educative process by creating a fun and engaging classroom environment whilst providing quality training and assessment services in the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling. You want to work as part of a flexible, collaborative and dynamic teaching team. Hold a current CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling or have the equivalent in industry experience. Want opportunities to network and expand within the industry. Key Responsibilities: Deliver and facilitate training in CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling on-campus delivery. Engage and motivate students with a fun and flexible approach. Follow a content delivery schedule as provided by Evolve College. Monitor student attendance and progression, facilitating access to educational support and providing effective feedback and advice to students. Undertake administration duties associated with student management and record-keeping. Develop effective working relationships with students and staff by participating in team meetings, student events and inviting feedback and engaging in reflection. Participate in relevant professional development as per Evolve College direction across prescribed areas (massage industry, VET and training and assessment) to develop and maintain currency of personal and professional skills, knowledge and attitudes. Position Requirements Successful applicants will: Hold a current CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, or an equivalent/higher qualification with current industry experience Hold a current TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the TAE40110 (plus including TAEASS502 and TAELLN411); or be currently enrolled in the TAE40122. Maintain a current HLTAID011 Apply First Aid unit Maintain a current Working with Children Check Hold a current membership/qualify for a membership with ACA (Australian Counselling Association) Salary: Trainers/Assessors are employed under the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award. Evolve College pays well above the award rate. Hourly casual rate of between $55 and $75 p/hr will apply dependent on position.
