The About Our client is a respected and safety-focused Australian gold producer is seeking a dedicated Fixed Plant Trainer/Assessor to join their team. This role plays a key part in maintaining high training standards in the northeast Pilbara region of Western Australia while supporting critical operations and compliance. Starting on 3 month contract to view of a permanent role – we’re offering flexibility to attract the right candidate to help fill a current gap in our training team. The Opportunity This position is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster , flying Fridays and working back-to-back with another experienced trainer. You'll join a supportive and experienced team during a key period leading into our next major mill shutdown in November. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced fixed plant professional wanting to step into a hands-on and diverse training position. The Tasks Ahead Deliver training and assessments across a variety of fixed plant operations Conduct VOCs for high-risk work including confined space, working at heights, forklifts, loaders, EWPs, cranes, and gantry cranes Oversee and support permit to work processes and isolation procedures Facilitate general inductions for new starters and contractors Maintain training records and compliance documentation Work closely with site supervisors and safety teams to align training with operational needs About You You’re an experienced and confident fixed plant professional who enjoys developing others and improving safety through effective training. You're adaptable, hands-on, and capable of managing a varied workload. Key Requirements Solid experience in fixed plant operations Experience delivering training and VOCs for: Confined space/Working at heights/Forklifts, loaders, EWP, cranes, gantry cranes (or a combination) Strong knowledge of permit to work and isolation procedures Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – highly desirable Ability to work FIFO on an 8/6 roster Available for an immediate or short-notice start The Benefits Competitive salary ($70 to $85/hr based on experience) Flexible engagement - 3 month contract with a view to permanent FIFO 8/6 roster with flights on Fridays Work within a well-established, safety-driven team Play a key role in supporting operations leading into a major shutdown Please Note: This role is open to applicants currently residing in Western Australia with full Australian working rights.
