About The Organisation MLAHMC Ltd is a leading Aboriginal Community Housing organisation in NSW, established in 2004 and registered as a Tier 2 provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing. The team manage approximately 750 properties across Central, Western, Riverina and Far West NSW, delivering secure and affordable housing and related services to Aboriginal communities. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Finance and Corporate Services Manager to lead the organisation’s corporate services functions, including Finance, Human Resources, IT, Risk, and Compliance. Reporting to the CEO, this role is pivotal in ensuring strong governance, compliance, and financial sustainability across MLAHMC’s operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the corporate services portfolio, including Finance, HR, IT, Risk, and Compliance functions Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial systems, with the support of future Finance Officers Provide leadership in HR practices, including recruitment, workforce development, and employee relations Oversee IT systems and data security, ensuring systems are fit-for-purpose and reliable Develop and maintain effective risk management and compliance frameworks Lead internal and external audits and ensure ongoing compliance with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing and other relevant bodies Support the CEO and Board with accurate financial and risk reporting, analysis, and advice Drive continuous improvement across corporate services to support MLAHMC’s mission and operational effectiveness Travel to MLAHMC’s regional offices and communities as required About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification required) Demonstrated experience in a senior finance or corporate services management role Strong understanding of HR, IT, risk, and compliance functions within a complex organisation Proven ability to develop systems, policies, and procedures to strengthen governance and operations Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build and mentor a small team Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with the CEO, Board, auditors, regulators, and staff at all levels High level of cultural awareness and commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal communities A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within NSW as required What Is On Offer Flexible working arrangements with base location negotiable within NSW Salary packaging (meals and entertainment) Staff health and wellbeing program Employee assistance program Opportunity to shape and lead a corporate services team as the organisation grows How to Apply If you are an experienced corporate services leader with a passion for governance, finance, and making a positive impact in Aboriginal housing, we’d love to hear from you.
