Overview We have a fantastic opportunity to join Merlin Entertainments as the Head of Technical Services for our four iconic Sydney-based attractions: SEA LIFE, WILD LIFE, Madame Tussauds, and Sydney Tower Eye. This full-time permanent role is a key position within the Sydney leadership team, offering a chance to learn new skills in a unique environment with specialised systems and technology. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager (Sydney), you will oversee the maintenance functions across our attractions, maintaining facility standards and leading maintenance operations for ride and attraction infrastructure. Responsibilities Deliver compliance and efficiency in all areas of ride and facility maintenance Motivate and guide your team and technical contractors to deliver exceptional results Drive a strong health & safety culture Develop and implement robust technical safety and training compliance strategies Oversee annual maintenance planning to ensure budget control About You A passion for travel and tourism is essential. You will also have: Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities team within a high-demanding and fast-paced environment Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and facilities maintenance, as well as third-party and compliance-related matters Strong background in Electrical / Mechanical facilities management desirable Ability to understand ride infrastructure, maintenance and compliance Leadership experience with the ability to inspire an internal team and direct external contractors The ideal candidate will also be trained as either a mechanical, electrical or structural engineer, or suitable tradesperson.
