Reporting to the Pacific Digital Experience Manager, you’ll also be paired with a mentor who brings deep expertise in risk management and insurance. This mentor will help you identify real business challenges and uncover where AI can create real impact. This paid internship runs from October 2025 to April 2026, with the exciting possibility of future opportunities as a Graduate Analyst—a fantastic steppingstone to a rewarding data science consulting career! Expected Outcomes Solution implementation & engineering The primary focus for the internship will be the successful implementation of a technical solution (proof of concept / minimum viable product) using the chosen competency and for specific AI use case(s). The infrastructure, hardware, access and licenses required will be provided by Marsh. Interns will also have access to Architecture and engineering leads within Marsh for technical guidance and support. Documentation of technical approach, considerations for scaling the solution. Research and development to Help inform Marsh’s AI R&D methodology Help educate Marsh teams around the technical approach and learnings What will you gain? Learning new tools and techniques to generate data science and AI driven insights. Hands-on opportunity to apply AI concepts and engineering skillets on real-world risk management problems across a variety of industries. Experience in platform development, technology governance, and stakeholder management in a large financial enterprise. What you need to have: Currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science or a related field. Strong foundation in data extraction technologies (RPA, OCR, NLP, computer vision), generative AI (LLMs), virtual assistants, chatbots, or data science and ML algorithms (Python, R, etc.). Ability to learn independently, work on ambiguous problems, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Critical thinking, analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset. Experience with APIs, vector databases, and prompt engineering is a plus. What makes you stand out: Prior experience or familiarity with AI toolsets, platform development, or technology governance. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, global environment and leverage diverse AI research communities.
