About the Community Liaison Office roleA Community Liaison Officer (CLO) serves as a vital communication bridge between an organisation (such as a government agency, school, or non-profit) and the community it serves, fostering positive relationships and ensuring two-way information flow. Key responsibilities include engaging with the public, resolving issues, preparing reports, maintaining records, and coordinating community outreach and events to build trust and facilitate collaboration on shared goals. Key Responsibilities: Communication and Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the public, responding to inquiries, providing information, and building relationships with community members. Information Dissemination: Prepare and distribute reports, briefing notes, and other documents to keep the community informed about an organisation's activities and issues. Conflict Resolution: Utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address concerns and facilitate constructive conversations between different parties. Community Building: Organize and support community events and initiatives to strengthen ties and promote participation in programs and decision-making processes. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and welfare organizations. Administrative Support: Manage correspondence, maintain confidential files, and provide administrative support for meetings and project planning. Outreach and Education: Develop and deliver targeted outreach programs and educational materials to address specific community issues, such as social cohesion or crime prevention.
