Sitting within the ACT Health’s Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office, the Towards a Safer Culture ‘The Next Steps’ Strategy is seeking a motivated, innovative Registered Nurse or Midwife to join a small team that is committed to embedding a positive safety culture in ACT Public Health services. Responsible for the provision of professional and strategic leadership, the Registered Nurse level 4.3 will use their high-level project management skills and in-depth knowledge of the clinical environment to provide health system advice and leadership. The Towards a Safer Culture ‘The Next Steps’ Strategy has a strong focus on: The Safewards Model of Care Clinical Supervision Occupational violence mitigation, and Community awareness campaigns to create a culture of safety. The role relies on the ability to provide strategic leadership, manage key deliverables of the project, liaise with stakeholders and ensure compliance with governance and reporting requirements. Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
