Department for Health and Wellbeing – Clinical System Support and Improvement – Safety and Quality Salary: $160,848 – RN/M5.2 – Full Time / Term Contract up to 12 Months Overview: Employees classified in this role have involvement in various health care assignments/projects. This may include: development, implementation and evaluation of strategic directions, policies etc. which support nursing/midwifery practice, advice on contemporary issues relating to practice, project management, strategic leadership for innovation and change. Employees in this role initiate and lead projects of significant scope and complexity relating to the Quality Program work stream within the Safety and Quality Unit. The Quality Program Nursing Director is to use their clinical and strategic skills to effectively represent South Australia on numerous national platforms and ensure South Australia aligns with national priorities in the context of Safety and Quality. A key responsibility of the position is to identify and address barriers to care and lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance health outcomes and equitable system access for minority populations, including (but not limited to) First Nations peoples, CALD communities, LGBTIQA individuals, and people with disability. Employees at this level may also provide management of nursing/midwifery functions for a specified nursing/midwifery department/service.
