St Vincent’s Pharmacy Services also span St George’s Hospital, Caritas Christi Hospice both in Kew and also external Correctional Pharmacy Services. We provide a broad range of pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and correctional facilities within a practice research environment. The pharmacist is a key member of the multidisciplinary health care team which delivers care in a patient focused manner. Pharmacy support staff work closely with pharmacists to ensure that both frontline services and backend services are delivered in a quality, timely and cost effective manner. POSITION DUTIES General store duties Receiving stock into pharmacy Processing receipt of stock in the pharmacy computer dispensing system Stock management including stock rotation, expiry checking, sorting stock, packing in alphabetical order on shelves. Accurately and efficiently distribute imprest supplies to wards and clinical areas, including bar code scanning of stock, picking and processing requisitions, delivery and distribution to wards, satellite pharmacies and clinical areas and putting stock away in correct location. Performing expiry date checking, managing short dated stock and assisting in other aspects of inventory and logistics management. Recording of all stock movement using the pharmacy electronic dispensing system. Advise line manager of any stock errors identified or incorrect stock or products in wrong locations. Cold chain management of medications where required. Review of imprest stocks in conjunction with pharmacist. Inventory control including periodical stocktake. Ensure the pharmacy store and storage areas are kept clean and in a safe state in accordance with OH&S requirements. Experience in warehouse procedures, stock management and logistics. Experience using computers and barcode scanning equipment. Capable of performing repetitive physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for long periods. ESSENTIAL REGISTRATION, LICENSE OR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Completed VCE or equivalent. OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Able to perform repetitive manual lifting and physical tasks. Great communication, interpersonal and arithmetic skills Positive attitude and great work ethic.
