We’re currently expanding our team and looking for a Financial Accountant to join us in delivering quality service to our customers. Position Available: Financial Accountant Location: Welshpool, WA About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic, safety-focused finance team. In this key role, you’ll support the Manager – Financial Reporting in maintaining robust accounting processes, financial accuracy, and driving process improvement across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Assist with period-end closing processes and reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset Register, including timely capitalisation of assets. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and process journal adjustments where required. Reconcile the insurance claims register to the balance sheet and liaise with internal stakeholders. Support tax and regulatory submissions (BAS, PAYG, FBT), with prior fuel tax credit experience desirable. Provide support for external audits by preparing documentation and insights. Contribute to the enhancement of internal accounting processes and procedures. Provide direct support to the Manager – Financial Reporting and Group Financial Controller with ad hoc duties. Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA/CA qualification required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Financial Accountant role. Experience in fixed asset/asset maintenance. Strong understanding of foundational accounting practices. Ability to work with and optimise data, systems, and processes for reporting accuracy. High attention to detail, self-motivation, and a problem-solving mindset. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the business.
