Job Purpose JOB DESCRIPTION An exciting opportunity for a Container Surveyor to join our growing team on AFTERNOON SHIFT (4pm-12am). This role will be responsible for conducting container/cargo pre-damage inspections and cross-check logistical data to ensure accuracy and efficiency when containers are delivered into container yard. Key Accountabilities Conduct inspection of incoming containers to shipping line and IICL standards Prepare and process quotes for repairs to containers Collaborate with Maintenance & Repair team to determine specific grade requirements for containers dependent to shipping line requirements Use internal computer systems to complete quotes and recordings associated with cargo standards Qualifications, Skills And Experience The successful candidate will possess the following: Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) certifications are desirable but not essential. Minimum 2 years container surveying experience Experience using 1-Stop Modal (advantageous) Knowledge of Container Parks/Empty Depots Need to be prepared to work outdoors in cold/hot/wet conditions every day Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
