At Crowne Plaza Hobart , we're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Steward to help keep our culinary operations running smoothly. Full Time and Part Time options available. Your day to day As a Kitchen Steward you'll play a vital role in ensuring the hygiene and efficiency of our food and beverage outlets. Your responsibilities will include: Operating dishwashing machinery to clean and sanitise crockery and kitchen tools. Cleaning and sterilising surfaces, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment. Organising food storage areas including fridges and freezers. Receiving and sorting kitchen deliveries. Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. peeling, cutting and washing ingredients). Removing kitchen waste and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Reporting hazards and following safety procedures using appropriate equipment. What we need from you Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment and can prioritise tasks. Collaborates well with kitchen team members. Has a strong attention to detail and hygiene standards. Follows instructions accurately and takes initiative. Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Prep Chef or working in a busy kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Based in Hobart and available immediately.
