Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits Full-time, Ongoing Role About the role As Senior Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in leading the organisation and operation of the new Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MHRU) at Modbury Hospital, ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive, high-level range of pharmacy services. You will exercise independent professional judgement to provide timely and expert medicines information, therapeutic advice, and clinical support to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals. Your expertise will help uphold hospital and divisional policies, procedures, and professional pharmacy standards, ensuring safe and effective practice. In this role, you will be central to optimising patient outcomes through the promotion of the safe, cost-effective, and evidence-based use of pharmaceuticals. By implementing quality use of medicine strategies, you will contribute to improved clinical care and patient safety, while supporting broader hospital objectives. To be successful in this role, you will have: A Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, with proven leadership and management capability. Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to supervise, train and support staff while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. An interest in Mental Health is desirable but not essential.
