The Childcare Trainee will gain hands-on experience across multiple early childhood education and care (ECEC) services while undertaking formal training toward a recognised qualification. Under the guidance of an experienced ECEC mentor, the trainee will learn to support children’s development, wellbeing, and learning in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist educators in delivering age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences. Help maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning and development under supervision. Participate in training, mentoring sessions, and professional development activities. Rotate across different service locations to gain varied sector experience. Requirements: Commitment to undertaking a relevant ECEC qualification (e.g., Certificate III). Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning. Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from mentors and supervisors. Willingness to travel between service locations. Location: N Quay, Brisbane City
