The Opportunity Reporting to the Partner Relationships Team, the Senior Furniture Partner Relationship Manager will lead the strategic curation and management of our furniture portfolio, spanning entry-level, mid-range, and high-end segments. This role drives profitability, sustainability, and brand leadership by shaping product assortments, collaborating with buying, marketing, logistics, and store operations teams to boost sales and optimise inventory. Based in Sydney, this full-time position involves domestic and international travel (10-20% of time) for sourcing, trade shows and factory visits. About You Range & Assortment Planning: Curate collections from entry-level to luxury, using trends and data to forecast demand across online and showrooms. Sourcing & Supplier Management: Source from local and Asia-Pacific suppliers, negotiate cost-effective terms, ensure quality/ethical standards, and manage logistics for drop-ship, in-stock, and private-label. Sustainability: Evaluate products for FSC timber, low-carbon supply chains, and compliance with Australian standards to support ESG goals. Brand & Private Label: Develop private-label lines (e.g., Kolona Series) and align brand positioning with showroom and online strategies. Stock & Inventory: Plan and forecast inventory to optimise stock across warehouses and 15 showrooms, achieving KPIs like turnover and margin. Sales Promotions: Create bundle deals, flash sales, and other promotions, measuring ROI and leveraging e-commerce data for engagement. Marketing Support: Provide insights for campaigns, SEO content, and high-quality visuals for online and in-store marketing. Market & Trends: Track competitors, attend trade shows (e.g., Milan Design Week), and analyse feedback to refine ranges and pricing. Compliance & Risk: Ensure safety/import compliance and manage risks such as supply chain disruptions or recalls. Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor junior staff and lead cross-functional projects, including showroom merchandising. What You'll Need Experience: 7 years in furniture buying, with at least 3 years in a senior furniture buyer role in e-commerce or retail. Proven expertise in private-label development and Asian sourcing. Skills and Knowledge: Strong financial acumen (e.g., Excel for budgeting), sustainability expertise, proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI), and excellent communication for supplier and team collaboration. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. Personal Attributes: Passionate about design, customer-focused, adaptable, and open to international travel.
